Extensive refurbishment and extension to provide two self-contained houses (current).
2,300 sq. ft. of floorspace over three floors with small areas of external landscaping to front and rear.
This is an interesting and challenging project. The site is located at the end of a Victorian terrace and is very compact with limited on site storage and very restricted access. The design that was granted planning permission is olds meets new, with a contemporary styled two story rendered/zinc clad side and rear extension abutting the existing Victorian property. Careful engineering was required owing to the proximity of the local sewer network. Existing extensions were demolished to enable new rear, side and dormer roof extensions to be constructed, providing two self-contained dwellings with accommodation over ground, first and second floor levels.
